PAUL BOORE Soprano/Tenor Sax, Vocals
TULEBURG JAZZ BAND
Loren Iverson, Leader
by MAURICE HUFF
Paul Boore began singing at age five in
his family’s Minstrel shows in Missouri.
Soon, he picked up the sax and by age 12, was playing professionally. During
WWII, he played in the Special Services Band. Later, he led his own bands in
Missouri & Kansas. Since 1952, he has lived in Stockton, playing and singing
in various groups until he became one of the original members of the
TULEBURG JAZZ BAND in 1979. He enjoys bowling, fishing and camping
with his big, pretty motorhome. He’s a retired insurance adjuster.
Fellow Jazzers ... we have had TULEBURG in Redding quite a few times, but
with such a fun group, there is just no ever “getting too much” of this band !
Listening to Paul Boore and Chris Brown on those saxes is really a total treat.
Loren has had most of his musicians for quite some time so they’re like an
eight-piece family.
So, all the listeners, dancers, cake-walkers and just plain Dixie Lovers are
going to have a toe-tapping Sunday with Paul on those saxes and the rest of
this super band - playing their hearts out!
See you there!
