NEW RAFFLE NOOZ...
A "Special Raffle" was held - Sears donated 14K diamond earrings,
which were won by ANDY KELLEY...and quickly given to his wife, Fran!
At another time, DIANE GRETTUM was the winner of a "Special Raffle" ...
this time THREE DAY HOUSEBOAT adventure
But, here's a couple donations that we still remember! Can you see it now? Can you see YOU ... ParaSailing? Sure you can! You put on the water skiis, you're strapped into a parachute harness behind a speedboat.(barf) The boat goes fast ... you go up
high in the air... fast! Whee-e. (barf) When the boat slows down, you float gently down- sometimes sideways ...(oh, barf, yes indeedy) The first winner looked aghast when she picked up the gift certificate ... almost trembling with beads of perspiration dotting her brow.. (let's just call this a touch of artistic license.) Next month, this same member donated back this same gift certificate! Again a new raffle winner picks up the 'prize' - this time with a glazed look ... and the following month, the same prize is re- donated. The third winner was THE winner. We never saw that gift certificate again! (or the winner, now that I think about it!)
One other memorable donation last year was a "houseboating weekend"...
Ya, we made money that month!
Newly found friends were suddenly around the winner ...
sweet-talkin ' .. kissing up ... You know the kind.
