The Original Deadbeat Bidder List |
Now Bigger Than Ever!

Deadbeat Bidders cheat everybody. They cheat the seller, they cheat other bidders and they cheat themselves out of having a good standing in the Auction Community. Remember, when you bid on an item, you are entering into a legally binding contract.

The following people are Deadbeat Bidders who have failed to honor their bids for items I have had up for auction on Ebay:
| Back in the Summer of 1999, this guy (Ebay name: nick914) bid on a pair of Volkswagen Bug disc brake spindles I had up for auction. After the auction ended, he was contacted by me several times and never responded. Several months later I found nick914 on an internet Volkswagen mailing list bragging about his car. I exposed him on that list and he made up a shoddy excuse about being out of town, having computer problems etc, etc, etc. As is turns out, he shafted 2 other sellers around the same time. | |

In March of 2000, this bozo (Ebay name: im-dano) bid on some Volkswagen dashboard parts and trim pieces. When the auction ended, he assured me that payment would be sent right out. Ten days later he emails me and says he is just about to send out the payment. He was new to Ebay so I cut him some slack. Another week goes by and I remind him about the auction. He emails me again and states that payment will go out right away. After warning him that if I didn't receive payment by April 28, he would risk receiving negative feedback, he cut off all communication. Time is up, guy. I gave you a month and you dropped the ball. Failing to pay for a $10.95 item has landed you a life sentence on The Deadbeat Bidder List. |

May, 2000 : This little man (Ebay name: nis0320 ) was the high bidder for a Volkswagen 1.5 quart oil sump. He emailed me and stated that he would have a money order in the mail on May 8. As the 10 day time limit for payment drew near, I sent him the usual reminder. No response from this flake. When the 10 days were up, I sent him another reminder stating that if payment didn't arrive within another 5 days, I would have to re-list the sump on Ebay. This is the exact email response I received from this deadbeat:"HEY, JACKASS I WILL SEND THE PAYMENT WHEN I GET GOOD AND DAMN READY BUT SINCE YOU HAVE ELECTED TO BE SUCH AN ASS YOU CAN KEEP YOUR JUNK AND LEAVE ALL THE NEG. FEEDBACK YOU LIKE OH YES AND AS TO YOUR THREAT OF PUBLIC HUMULATION I HAVE A VERY GOOD LAWYER SO GO AHEAD AND DO WHAT YOU THINK YOU SHOULD BUT BE CAREFUL WITH THE SLANDER! OH YES BY THE WAY I HAVE BEEN OUT OF TOWN UNTILL TODAY (SOME OF US HAVE REAL JOBS) AND HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO CHECK MY E-MAIL, BUT DUE TO YOUR ATTITUDE YOU HAVE IN MY EYES GIVEN ME PLENTY OF REASON TO DEFAULT ON THIS AUCTION. HAVE A NICE DAY, NIS0320" Well nis0320, I didn't realize auto mechanics were sent out of town on long business trips. Aren't there any Post Offices out of town? You didn't have to check your email. You already knew where to send the money and what the amount was. Don't worry, I won't slander you. I will let your own words do the talking. Welcome to The Deadbeat Bidder List. UPDATE: On August 18, 2000, this deadbeat was finally suspended from Ebay after blowing off two other auctions after mine. UPDATE: December 26, 2000. This guy has now turned his deadbeat ways toward bidders as well as sellers. This guy really needs to be stopped. UPDATE: February 6, 2001. This crook is suspended again for cheating more people. Let's hope he is gone for good! |

July,
2000: This criminal two-some (Ebay name: starstruckphotos)
were the high bidders for a rare, out of print, sealed CD by The Beach Boys
titled Summer In Paradise. The usual "you've won"
message was promptly sent out by me at the end of the auction and they assured
me that the payment would be sent out right away. As the 10 day time limit
drew near, I sent out a reminder. They seemed to have a valid excuse so I cut
them some slack. After almost another 10 days I sent them a message
stating that if payment was not received by the first of August, the item
would be re-listed on Ebay. No Response. One final reminder was sent. Still no
response. Silence speaks louder than words to reveal this two-some as a
couple of Deadbeat
Bidders.
UPDATE: Before I had the chance to swing the mighty hammer of negative feedback at these flakes, the staff at Ebay pulled the plug on their account. Looks as though they ripped off a few other people along the way. |

January, 2002: In a childish attempt to protest my "No International Sales" policy, this fool (Ebay name: texanlardass) selected the "buy it now" option for a rare, still sealed 8 track tape by MECO titled Star Wars and Other Galactic Funk. In his email requesting a total for the item he included the comment: "Let's nuke them f***ing Internationals!" He also included what appears to be a false ship-to address in Russia. I gave him the opportunity to follow through with payment, but as I suspected, it was never sent. Now this "comrade" has been exiled to The Deadbeat Bidder List. |

February, 2002: This insane bidder (Ebay name: bugnboop)
was the high bidder for some EMPI Door Jam Guards for a Volkswagen. Early
in the auction, she had bid on the item using a different I.D. (boopsbug).
I checked out the feedback that she had received and given
in the past and I decided that this was a very volatile and unstable
person that should not be bidding on my auctions. It was clear that she
was a chronic Deadbeat Bidder. As soon as someone else outbid her, I
added her to my "Blocked Bidders" list.
Shortly before the auction was over, she slipped in and bid on the item using her second I.D. (bugnboop). Although I was sure I was going to get stiffed, I sent her the instructions on where to send the payment as well as two reminders. The emails were never replied to and payment was never sent. Some might argue that people like this need long-term treatment, but for the crime of not paying for a $13.00 item she has been sentenced to life on The Deadbeat Bidder List! |

June, 2002: This guy (Ebay name: snipesfan1)
must be a real problem for Ebay because they cancelled his account the day
after my auction ended. Another zero feedback loser who vanishes
when it is time to pay up the $11.95 for a mint copy of KISS Alive
on vinyl.
I suspect that this jerk also went by the name outsider_nwo_99 because this person was the first bidder for the LP and that account was cancelled by Ebay before the auction ended. Snipesfan1 bid shortly after. Both of these accounts only lasted a few days. Even this guys' email address was cancelled after the auction. He may be good at his disappearing act, but he will be forever visible on The Deadbeat Bidder List. |

March, 2003: After taking a six month break from selling on Ebay, I
was immediately attacked by another Deadbeat Bidder as soon as I resumed
selling.
This Backwater Redneck (Ebay name: archery@dtgnet.com) placed the winning bid on a rare Ted Nugent & The Amboy Dukes 8 track tape and then went into hiding. Typical of a classic Deadbeat Bidder there was no email response and no payment sent. Reminders, warnings and a Non Paying Bidder Alert also failed to trigger a reaction. Must be too busy shooting his crossbow at little animals to honor his bid. This criminal collects Ted Nugent stuff (King of the Rednecks), but decided to just blow off this auction. Well, blowing off an auction for a $4.95 item has landed him on The Deadbeat Bidder List for life. UPDATE: April 2003. Exactly one month after the auction ended, I finally get an email from this guy: I was the high bidder on the above and have been out of the Country. I would like to pay you for this. Will you please e-mail me with address or paypal info. Thanks. Unbelievable! By this time I had left negative feedback, issued a Non Paying Bidder Alert and added him to The Deadbeat Bidder List. Does he really think I am going to sell him this item now? What's the deal with bidding and then fleeing the country for a month? Wake up, guy! I emailed my address to you a month ago and I don't accept Paypal. |

Then along comes sabrina62078 to place a bid on a rare collection of Kiss trading cards from 1978. For only $12.95 she could have had a set of 28 near mint cards...but she had something different in mind. Instead of paying for the cards she decided it would be a better idea to simply blow-off the whole thing and NOT pay for the cards. She also ignored all of my reminders and failed to reply to anything. In addition to blowing-off my auction, she did the same thing to several other sellers around the same time. Just look at her feedback! Well, sabrina62078. You picked the wrong auction to bid and run from. Now you can "rock and roll all night" right here on The Deadbeat Bidder List! |
Avoid being exposed on this page. HONOR YOUR BIDS!
